And it’s something quite peculiar,
Something shimmering and white.
Leads you here despite your destination,

  1. Great shot! I was just talking to my friend recently about his seeing galactic center from Bolivia while on his travels.

  3. Excellent! The vastness of the photo brings with it the realization that we are truly zipping through the universe on but a tiny grain of sand.

  4. wow, 3100 views, 127 favs in 24hs… and with nobody naked! Remarkable score. 😀

    Hi, tony dad! *waving*

  5. amazing ……
    a very god picture !

  6. Hi, I’m an admin for a group called "Flashadas" – mixing light sources/exposures, and we’d love to have your photo added to the group.

  7. Great one, I’ll have to try it myself when I go next, see what I can get at 18mm. I remember my first time at Blackrock for a launch, back when high power rocketry was really booming (business wise). The weather was perfect, not a drop of rain, and the night sky was amazing. You could see the plethora of satellites we’ve put up, iridium etc. Nice reminder of that weekend. I slept on a tarp in a sleeping bag that was open all night because it was, at coldest, 70F. Magic.

  8. Fantastic shot, and lyrics of a great song by the Church as a caption. Muy Bueno!

  9. I hope you don’t mind but I did a quick PS work on it to reduce the green from the lights.

    Cheers

  12. impressive shot!
54 seconds of exposure? you kept pressing your remote for that long?

  13. Why, yes indeed…. It’s not that hard. It has a slider to lock it open.
