A friend recently told me that in California, only the rattlesnake is poisonous. I hope it is true, because it sure makes moments like this less stressful.

This one had caught a mole, which made everyone happy.

    Not only a beautiful find, but a rare one. This looks to me to be the San Francisco Garter Snake. An endangered species my friend. I’ve been looking to see one in the wild for ages.

    This image is of a garter snake. HARMLESS and very beneficial due to their consumption of mice, rats, roaches etc…. What a beautiful specimen. You were really lucky to have gotten such a visual opportunity. You can pick this baby up and it’ll curl around your wrist and hang out. They like the warm from our bodies. Just gorgeous.
