I was curious to see how the image stabilization lens was implemented. That’s the center disc with x,y actuators. The disc on the far right is the shutter.

It can still take pictures while naked.

  1. I’m sure a lot of people on flickr can take pictures while naked too, but I’m glad I don’t see those everyday.

One day I’ll disassemble my FX-9, that met its fate in my pocket during my move from Houston to Atlanta… somewhere along the way.

  2. "don*t try this at home" 🙂

i would have loved to take my canon G2 apart that died a year ago, but the insurance company wanted me to send it in (a friend had thrown it over, so her insurance paid for it.. well, at least the used price) and i never got it back. sad, is it? i wont try this on my 5D tho 😀

  3. I just peer into the 5D with respect…

  4. interesting I have to find where my notebook clock battery is?

Seen on your photo stream. (?)

  5. cool! I was wondering about the image stabilization implementation too.

  6. oh yeah, i peer into THIS part way too often… cant anyone invent a small laser device that burns all flying particles/grease/fluff inside the dslr housing? well anyway, respect makes your fingers quite stable 😀 – so – respect equals finger stabilization.. can be helpful when shooting, too!

  7. It’s nice to see the inside, but I’m glad it was you and not me. This is a good example of something I only want to see in a photo. (123)
