I had searched in Google but there was more than one possibility so asking directly was best. It is always nice to meet with old colleagues.
I learned a long time ago that whether you want it or not people you know as early as in your youth will always come back in your life at some point. Honing good relationships along the way is a great investment for the future. You know that!
Amen to that Mimosa! You’ve articulated it much more nicely than the original way I heard that nugget of wisdom, "be careful who you step on while you’re climbing the ladder; you’re sure to meet them again on your way back down."
Hey, I met a Bainey on a train once. We had a fascinating conversation on the economics of prostitution. I didn’t realize how well-known that firm was.
they handed you a badge when you walked in to this event. not really a badge, but a sticker. the person who greeted me stuck it on my shirt without my asking.
steve may have suffered the same treatment
steve, 1) please ask tim d. to show up more often to morning basketball, the goggle is getting out of control—; 2) thanks for this photo, which i blogged at plambeck.org.
finally, somewhere i think in this photostream perhaps, you described how to detect people blogging one’s photos via a google or technorati search perhaps, a reminder would be appreciated
Tim adds control? 😉
You can technorati search your whole photostream, or a specific page.
Thanks for the tip Steve. I discovered a few uses of my photos!
Two are foreign economics articles!

I loves the internets.
Romney has a youtube channel which is particularly good.
Hi, I’m an admin for a group called Mitt Romney, and we’d love to have your photo added to the group.
Weird how one finds things.. I saw the wired article on someone’s ebay blog.. which lead me to wired ..which lead me to here… and in looking at your profile I saw the very cool thing for the National Geographic/IBM Genographic Project and clicked through.
Since I’m adopted and haven’t gotten a hit in the 3 years since I put myself on the Oregon open adoption list (stands to reason since I’m now 53 that my parents have gone to the great beyond) this is going to be a nice little Christmas gift to myself so I can at least see my ancient roots even if I can’t find my current ones.
Life is indeed a journey.. and thanks for posting your results and link.
Thanks for sharing the great photo! We have posted the pic under "Romney wins Wyoming caucuses" at http://www.duhmagazine.com, with your name linked back to this web page. Let us know if the attribution is correct. Thanks!

Anything left to do? Again, wikimedia has used scores of my pictures, and they all have the same license. And there is no more favorable license offered by flickr. In other words, this is as close as anyone on flickr can get to "free without any strings attached". There is no better option available to us.
If I am still missing the boat, just please tell me what to do without any of this detail. If you need a "go for it" from me, you have it. And if I need to do something on flickr itself, please make sure your suggestion is doable.
OK. So where is the "upload page"? Is that this page? If so, CC-by-3.0 is fine with me. If not, please provide the URL
Attirbution language – I can’t find any place to indicate that on the flickr CC pages. If you know of a place where that can be done, please provide the URL.
I have had it on my Profile page: http://www.flickr.com/people/jurvetson/
"All of my photos are free to use forever with a simple photo credit:
Thank you. This is the upload page. The post should be enough for varification by admin or authorised reviewer. Placement of attribution info is appropriate, and is MY fault for not thinking to look at your main page here.
I will remove the cluttered posts.
Steve, feel free to ignore Amadscientist on this issue, it simply isn’t correct. Your CC-by-2.0 license is perfectly acceptable for Wiki Commons, just as any CC license that allows commercial and modified usage is acceptable. And please know that we always appreciate the wide range and high quality of the photos you make available on Flickr!
Well….if the impression I left was that any of the photos from this member were unwelcome I apologise for that and being incorrect at the same time, but will add the image was still not correctly varified visualy because the attribution is wrong at wiki.
Mr. Jurvetson. I will say you handled the whole thing well and I will not bother you further but feel free to message me with any questions or concerns should you have any.
Nice Work! [http://www.flickr.com/photos/cainandtoddbenson/8079317275/in/photostream]
