When I looked out of my window, everyone was taking pictures. A delegation of thirty technology executives from the Ukraine stopped by for a visit.

They seemed especially interested in the flowers.

  1. That´s the view from your window? Very nice. How come? You get trees from stones? You people make everything possible down there nowadays with this biotech thing…

  2. Gisela, these are not trees. They are just "supersized" (as is customary in the US) bonsaïs.

  3. Holy minitrees, batman! 😀

I had a boyfriend who was into the bonsai thing… beginning at that time, we were finishing at the same time, but he could still start telling me a bit about the technique and that. I was very interested, such a curious thing to getting a mini tree from a branch and "sculpturing" it… amazing.

Didn´t know americans were so bonsai-oriented, (specially growing them from stones). Or is it only customary of *nano* technologists? 😛

oh wait, or you mean that what is customary in the US is to get everything in supersizes? LOL!

  4. Cool photo. Nice natural framing and layers. It’s hard to even plan a photo like this.

  5. thanks… I think the Europeans take to an organic compositon quite naturally…

    =)

Alieness: yes, but I have never tried it myself. Looks like a tough hobby for the short attention span folks….

  6. oh, sure, I haven´t tried / wouldn´t try it myself either for the same reason… now that you mention it´s true… this guy was special about time… he used to be so calm in general, almost enervating sometimes. That was one of the reasons of our breakup… good connection there you made. =)

  7. Hi, I’m an admin for a group called People Taking Pictures Of People, and we’d love to have this added to the group!
