Paul Saffo and Ellen Levy took delight in the structural similarities between their neat notebooks. (They reminded me of a fun engineering class, ME101 Visual Thinking.)
Seen at one of the side tables at our CEO Summit in Half Moon Bay.
offtopic: any idea if the blufftop trails b/w poplar and the ritz are still holding up well with the rain, or if they’ve devolved into their yearly quagmire yet?
It’s good to see that I’m not the only one that still does all my printing in block capital letters. It’s a result of taking an Engineering Design Graphics class in college…
Ah, the smell of old fashioned blue prints take me back to the good old days.
@today is a good day: graphology is in accordance with your perceptions… the faster and smarter a person is, their handwriting becomes smaller, mixes font styles, tends to use lowercase, and it becomes almost illegible even for themselves, like scribbles. The theory lies in common sense: if you think too fast, your hand has to speed up in order to follow your thoughts. Otherwise taking notes becomes a hurting activity -writing slows you down- and you tend to avoid it and keep it all in mind.
Physicians and scientists notes are a good example. This is one of various factors to determine how smart is a person through their handwriting, though not the only one. As well is a general condition, not something sine qua non.
