  4. veg/min is a good summary. During a storm, the waves uproot some of the coastal kelp beds. Afterward, large mats of kelp clump on the beach with their tendrils still grasping their anchor rocks, worn smooth by the sea.

    I noticed a wonderful pinkish mineralization at the plant/rock interface. I am not sure, but assume it is biomineralization for attachment.

  5. well I heard in my evolution of learning that trees make oil eventually but I’ve never really put that into the collective of stats 🙂
