“And the most amazing thing is… I get paid for doing this!”
– Steve Martin

(Full Disclosure: we are investors and this post was paid for with a PPP t-shirt. =)

Recent disclosurepolicy.org press release: “Recent transparency bluster around PayPerPost, Walmart/Edelman and YouTube/lonelygirl15 are nothing new. There have been numerous cycles of transparency debate — whether involving religious, political or financial bias — since individuals had the freedom to publish their thoughts and creations online,” said Ted Murphy, CEO of PayPerPost. “Although blogs are great for distributing opinions, news and debate, the blogosphere is currently the wild west of media. There are few standards regarding disclosure and transparency of message, creating a landscape that is difficult to navigate for bloggers and readers alike. For example, should Amazon dictate to their affiliates how to disclose payment for purchases resulting from an affiliate blogger’s endorsement. DisclosurePolicy.org was created to provide a uniform disclosure mechanism as well as a central place to discuss the ongoing issues surrounding disclosure and transparency.”

I’m going to give their Disclosure Policy Generator a spin…

  2. yikes! >=(

    I was writing because I visited the PPP website and I had couple of things to ask/say, and I closed the browser window instead of minimizing it. I lost it all…. guess it was not that important, anyway.

    #@$&*#$ª!!!

  3. Cool truck, yah. I’d have to say it looks like a semi truck cab that’s not quite a tall, and probably has a skimpier engine.. Though.. 20 tons is not that much less than a commercial load is it?

    Pay per post/Disclosure seems very cool. It seems like the beginning of the email postage concept applied elsewhere. I’ll let whoever spam me if they pay me $1 per message to do it!

  4. WOW, now that’s fast response! 😀

    Thanks for the pointer indeed Alieness. I’m not sure of it’s success. It looks like they’re essentially standing in the way of fire hose full of spam and trying to send back an email for every spam message. That’s a noble effort, I may go try it out!

    (I’m in, we’ll see how it goes.)

  5. "Keep us posted" sounds like quite topical, right? 😛

    Let us know how it goes. 😉
