   Just beautiful. If I am not mistaken this is quite an old F-18, transferred from Navy to NASA. One of NASA’s F-18’s was later converted into their HARV (high alpha or angle of attack research vehicle). N850NA does a lot of airshows though.

   Beautiful old bird! (Ha! I still remember when the first F16’s and -15’s started replacing -4’s) No armaments on this NASA bird. The projections on the wing-tips are mounting points for missiles, but none are ther. The pod under the plane is an auxillary fuel tank. Love the arrestor hook on a NASA plane !!
