Exiting the tail of the plane.

I got a promo video with the footage from our Zero-G flight. It does a better job than my photos in showing what the weightless astronaut trainer is like.

  1. Wow!!! must be one heck of fun ride.
envy your adventures. look foward to the great shots of history in making. look good.

  2. Heeeey, that’s a familiar smile. So, the first L2 and the zero G experience seem to be neck and neck! Cooool. That video does a great job, though you never spend that much time in zero G without returning to gravity, I imagine, it being a dive and all..

  3. Ben: we do several parabolic flights, first at Mars gravity, then Moon, then several at zero G.

efatima:merci! Hey, did UAE lift the flickr ban, or are you travelling again?

  4. I would think it would be tough to say which is better between the the moon and zero G. The moon motions are just so graceful, but the zero G looks like pure fun.

    Excellent, have a good trip!

    (edit, dang typos)

  5. That is awesome!!! You do have an afterglow. I’m glad you had a blast!

  6. Hope you aren’t away too long. BTW, I bet you’ve collected a lot from Revver with the popularity of your videos… I’m just now getting up to the $60 mark since I started posting there (at your recommendation).

  7. we are liberated…. for a while. ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. I love how Esther Dyson’s backflip looks to have been the promo video editor’s favorite moment. It looks like it’s repeated a couple of times!

Tech pundit, futurist, and acrobat. Who knew?

  9. I have to admit beeing jelous of you… it has been a dream of mine
to experience zero gravity,Im glad you share the trip with uss on flickr!!
Seen and admired in my contacts photos

  10. uniform reminds me of top gun ๐Ÿ™‚

  11. Cool video. I wonder whether it feels much different than being in water. ๐Ÿ™‚ Lucky you!

  12. Flying in water is like gliding the matrix in slow motion..

    Open Hatch

which is also fun… They are like different tempos of dance…. =)

  13. Possible interesting tidbit here – I was on the first Zero G public flight after getting FAA approval with Diamandis and Branson for a reality show (of all things!). Was an awesome experience, and I def had the same reaction to it as you appear to have had. Not too long after the Zero G flight, I was able to see two of the qualifying flights of Space Ship One in Mojave that led to the winning of the Ansari X Prize. I grew up watching Rutan change the world of flight with my father, and love passing that experience along to my boys watching vids of SpaceX launches and LANDINGS! Thanks for carrying the torch Steve!
