   Four motors! For such a cute guy. How high did it reach? Definitely a nice shot., not much motion blur either.

   Not sure… But it was outta sight! Just when i thought it was done, another motor would kick in.

   The key to motion blur reduction is a 1/5000 to 1/8000 sec timing priority setting. At 1/8000 sec, you can freeze even a supersonic rocket. =)

   And then the image stabilizing gyro in the lens helps me track the launch freehand, without fiddling with the tripod.

   Jurvetson: I wonder how many lux is the lens, and what was the aperture with the 1/8000 sec. exposure? It is got to be very good I would think.

   i want to start flying model rockets again, but i don’t have any idea where i can. it seems all the sites in california are all gone. i’m thinking of getting the oracle video rocket..

   Check out LUNAR if you are in Silicon Valley area or ROC if in the LA area.

   I like the Oracle. Super simple build (almost pre-built really). Only big drawback, IMHO, is the lack of sound recording.
