  3. oddwick: right you are… at Full Size you can see my camera in the pupil and some bystanders.

    tzi boo: Yes. This was a dehydrated juvenile hawk, confused perhaps by the heat wave. With some water, he turned out OK.

    fisheggs: you know your drool. =) It’s bottled water that I was offering with my other hand. This is the prior photo:

  5. Oh, I love the bottled water shot. That must have been amazing to be able to get so close. We have a bunch of birds of prey hanging around JPL right now, probably because of the water the nearby arroyo, but I’m not sure what type they are.
