   Interesting little critters. Here’s a photograph of a ‘Redback Spider’ (Latrodectus hasselti) – their Aussie cousin. My wife took this a few months back on our garden shed door.

   mebooyou: Yup, a boy found it in our garage. So I had to get the camera. Never seen one before. I hoped that it would not make any sudden moves as I got in there with a 1cm macro lens…

   My grandmother found one in her garden, caught it and had it in a jar of alcohol by her desk telephone for years, right by the jar of her gallstones. And people wonder why I’m odd!
