   heh…. so very odd…. I had the photo rotated right in iPhoto too. I liked it better and the shadows work that way…

   Hey, I just remembered that there is a Rotate button above each photo…. Will do that now

   it’s all stardust, reformed…

   carpizo: it’s a natural rock formation, etched over eons by carbonic acid (CO2 + rain), near a mountain biking trail

   I just read that these huge sandstone boulders came from underseas sediments originally off the Southern California coast and the San Andreas fault caried them here.
