light at the frontier. The edge is not the end.
I totally agree… the sky color bugs me. It reminds me of 1950s post cards. Does anyone have tips on how to avoid that blue tint?
The flower colors are true to the original (the insanely bright purple is what caught my eye). I did not have my tripod, so it was a hand-held shot into the sun. I learned that when I am shooting 28mm wide angle with this lens, I need to remove the lens hood.
reMOVE the lens hood? If it vignette’s then its designed wrong, otherwise a lens hood is always a good idea. Ansel adams used to use a bellows lens hood, extended to the right distance from the lens for each shot (view camera of course).
Actually I kind of like vignetting. It moves the attention toward the center of the picture (as long as its mild and gradual).
what’s wrong with 50’s color? Its cool. I’m waiting for plug-ins that convert color to typical color films of each decade and manufacturer, like the 70’s colors of Kodacolor II. Amateur films today are like culture today: oversaturated, overdramatic, too much contrast and unrealistic.
oh, i like greeny blue skies (when I make them -photoedited- I see that I obtain them desaturating the red channel at the middle tones… less red makes that sky). It´s vintage, yes, it´s very ‘lomo’… it has its taste.
See, my alien cam was very fond of taking that sort of pictures:
when I saw your photo I recalled this one of mine. (btw, here in this building we can´t use the terrace, so I had this summer no place to get a proper tan.) =(
This photo makes a great jigsaw puzzle.
