I really like this photo by Victor Cobo.
It would have been my pick for the Wired piece on updated names for the “virtual reality” zeitgeist.

This is a great photo of you, Steve. It makes you look as young as that boyish charm you possess.
People are all interconnected.
A most interesting photo. It is like you are trying out an inplant before surgery.
…and for that big celebration in Estonia, called St. Paddy’s Day, and for one green eye:)

@sarchi… thanks for waiting with a place for me! Here I am. I posted before here but deleted it. I got caught in between the photoconicidences and didn´t want to gyrate the energies. 😉
@Lamo… =] Chuckyness is in the eye of the beholder, y´know. The cousin is no Chucky, ok?
You are surely jealous of Victor. 😛
But you shouldn´t, because your photos of the cousin are way cooler. Probably all others too, following a fair analogy. Absolutely Gi-proof. I like your photos even with eye-closed |-)
Possibly he is holding a knife in the other hand, tho…
Oh and for Sue and all… Happy Saint Pât..é de Foi!
I can just imagine a kid looking at this 10 years from now. "Neat phone. Why are you holding it up to your eye like that?"
…or whatever word replaces "phone" to mean "personal digital interaction enabling reality augmentation device".
And yes, I do hope that "neat" comes back in style. I’m not holding out for "keen" though.
I came across another Cyborg from Estonia today Steve. And a beautiful one =) . Lots of pictures from your Country, culture and tradition. You may like it ; ) Here is the Photo

Bonjour de la France à la Provence.
As you can see, the weather is wonderful here.
Thanks for the Robotic-Compliment =)
I ll share an other connection today, about augmented reality. And probably an answer about my visual search engine "Side of the force" =)
I call it ABioNEx For : Artificial Bio-Neurological Extension. (but i ll have to rename it, since an American based biotechnology company took it, and "WWW-it" ….Bad compagny !! =) )
I believe that Augmented Reality. Augmented Memory and Capacity are already part of our every day life. And Computing Technologies are the center of this starting revolution.
As biological entities , we use biological tools. But the technological extension is already in the move. And the integration..fission then fusion, will go slowly..smoothy but naturaly…
Com Tech, I.T, Internet, the Wwweb etc..broke some of our space and time limitations. The use of this kind of technology in our everyday life, broke new limitation today. The most known are the one with a direct impact in economy, the way we "intercommunicate" with each others etc…
But i feel like their is some more unknown and silent one…
Among them, about our memory. The way we connect new thoughts and ideas. The way we think about our self and the world . How we try to solve problems and approach new one..
Humans are exploring new paths with these new tools.
New discoveries, among them, quantum physics, neurosciences/robotics-A.I etc.. Force us to RETHINK the world, what we call reality, "ourself" etc…
I don t agree with all Kurzweil ideas.( i think that’s mainly about and because of his "publicity but necessarly economical survival" ‘s ideas) But in the globality i think he understand something Major about the present and future of our species.
WE ARE and WILL have to evolve by extending our limitations. That s just a question of time. And evolution don t happened during Week-End (or in 7days…)
From an economical point of view, and one you are dealing with, in your everyday life Steve. I think you understood something very fondamental and i guess that s part of the reason of your orientation (and "succes"?).
Technology and economy..have to be thought as global (in Space and Time) if we want to understand it, and change or have an impact in our society… =) ( Stanford technology Ventures Program ).
I am not surprise to see a lot of new products following this path. (iPhone among the lastest) And the Mergence of a lot of technology in one central unit. (For the good or the worth in some case..Remind me Ted Talk Barry Schwartz: The paradox of choice )
This approach about knowledge brought me a lot of discovery about how we learn and share information. And that s a everyday life exploration. One of my favorit actually =)
During some of my research about it, I came across the MyLifeBits project (microsoft), by Gordon Bell. I thought you may like to learn about it (if you haven t already ; ) .
Here is the latest paper on it, from The New Yorker.
Remember This?A project to record everything we do in life. by Alec Wilkinson

Hope you are having fun and good time among all the beautiful roads and "villages de France" Bon anniversaire by the way ; )

Super
The view upstair is amazing…
I have some memories of the trip (I did it once …but by car.. I was young..)
I remember one thing in particular about it. Thinking that the "tower" was a rocket like "Tintin one" =P I was very young =)

Enjoyed the rest of the trip…
And as a French Song say : "Le mistral gagnant ! (mp3)"… (the wining mistral… ; )
