Now, this picture would make me want to just stay right up there, spiritually elevated for weeks, dream and be in another world!

Don´t mind notes, M… once the page is completely loaded, the note(s) should vanish from the photo (unless you have your mouse over it).
Btw, that´s no wing there, that´s a plank! Arrr! P-) No airplane here, landlubbers! That´s a ship upon, uhm, too High Seas!

"Out the window" shots seem like one of those cliche things every photographer feels compelled to shoot when travelling. They are often simply unremarkable.
This one however, really catches my eye. I love the colors and how the strong line in the water leads into the wing tip.
Well done!

thanks y’all. I really like color play on the wing/plank extending out to meet the rising sun.
And the plane window seems to have added a nice Lomo camera shadow around the periphery of the frame.
Victor1: I always have at least one camera with me… =) All of my airline profiles default to the aisle from my pre-flickr days…. Now, I change seats during check in to be by the window, and think about which side of he plane is likely to have good lighting and views. But the real challenge for this shot was just being awake to take it (the 5am wake up made a nap awfully tempting).
I still need to call you! I just got a polarizing filter and I am starting to covet a f1.4 lens…. If I had that one with me, the photo of SF that I tried to take on this ascent might have been a beauty. The lighting was unlike anything I have ever seen, but alas, it was too dim for a sharp shot with the Lumix.

a double gift to first see it and then to find that you’ve been able to capture the magic of it isn’t it?
