Each of the many offices in the ShenZhen city government building has a label – like “Information Training” – which piqued my curiosity.

This one caught my eye as an unusual combination for one room…

  1. lol (sorry) it’s probably not funny at all

  2. Department of spelling was clearly in another building.

No wonder english is the worlds most popular language – its 5X faster to write and speak.

Asian writing is so cool though, since its ‘picture’ based, which would require both hemispheres of the brain to form vs. the ‘digitized’ latin alphabet.

  3. This really made me find my old Chinese dictionary book. As I understand the first character Rocketeer has marked is part of characters meaning industry, the second together with the last one means injure (although the second is also separately used in words like loss, damage, harm or injury).

Hopefully I will find more time one day to finish my Chinese and Japanese studies 🙂

  4. wow, English, Estonian, Chinese, Japanese… you have all of the important tech languages covered =)

and I can barely speak English and C++

Rocketeer: your notes are a hoot! very clever.
