  8. Oh, it’s an air shower. =)

    Semiconductor manufacturing is done in clean rooms. You have to wear "bunny suits" over your clothing (the super clean ones look more like space suits with air hoses for breathing).

    In this case, after putting on the outer garments, we went through this airlock, with a blast of air to remove extra particles and dust. Dead skin cells create a lot of dust. You also can’t use normal paper in there.

  9. My thinking is that something is lost in translation. Eight characters and three english words. For some unknown reason, they spelled out the enlish word for three when there is a perfectly good single character for that.
