  1. For those still in awe of how something like this could be built from Lego’s, here is a good look at what it takes to actually put this sort of thing together. mirror 1 , mirror 2 , mirror 3

  2. I don’t get enough of this so seeing this is quite somethin I’m wondering how long does that take?

  3. How long does it take to build? The video links above give a sense of it. We also had two people, and spent a half hour at a time over a three month period. 3,104 LEGO pieces.

  4. from the authors of the webcam video, who obvoiusly had more esspresso and less sleep than Steve:

It took us close to 10 hours (we started around midnight). We let my webcam take a picture every five seconds and made a stop motion video out of the pictures (over 7000 of them). … It’s a little over 4 minutes long and you can download it here.

  6. Very very good!

I used to like taking people to see the first starwars film and when this scene rolled on I would watch them rather than the screen. It was ALLWAYS worth it!

  7. I want one of these so badly. But it’s SO MUCH MONEY. Great shot btw. I did dish out the cash for the tie interceptor though.

  8. Pheeeew, thanks to the designers in LEGO. I feel relieved that we don’t have to built the infrastructure of the ship.
