I think they are on to something with google.gov and the elimination of evil…

  1. So the story tells that Sergey and Larry stood in front of the crowd. The multitude was shouting and crying:

"Give us the word! Give us the light! Save us!".

    Thus the prophets replied:

    Do

    No

    Evil

And the peoples of the world listened.

And the peoples of the world believed.

And the peoples of the world followed."

Taken from the Google Bible, yet to be written.

  2. Look how "elimination of humans" precedes "elimination of evil". Heh.

  3. It’s the only way to save us from spam, apparently 😉

  4. Actually, it was a guy named Paul that coined the term "Do No Evil". He got tired of the long list and summarized 🙂

  5. Thank you for the data! By the time the book is written, it will be a good thing get the true facts.

Applying in situ the "do no evil" thing. 😉

  6. The Googlosity is Near.

  7. Hey, "convenience stores" may not be that far off the mark. Google is shopping for retail real estate….

  8. You know, I saw this whiteboard when visiting the Googleplex last year and the only reason I didn’t take pictures of it is that I was certain I’d be shot if I did.

  9. Robots –> Skynet –> Terminator –> Google Security –> User Happiness.

  10. @Steve Jurvetson That’s why it’s a Master Plan! 🙂 A surprising number of things on the plan ended up coming to pass. I had (unintentionally) drawn the plan in front of where new employees stood in line to get their employee badges. Looking back on it, I wonder how many of these ideas got into their heads and influenced them when they made new projects… 😉
