  1. Keep going north! Portland’s just 18 more hours..

  2. Oh, I may be too 18 hours from Portland… by plane, tho. 😛

  3. Wow, that train is long. All of the trains I have seen have only six or eight cars. I like the mountains and the blue sky.

  4. Cool shot. Here’s an invite to the Amtrak flickr group. Thanks alot! http://www.flickr.com/groups/74101162@N00/

  5. i know what you mean Starion, the longest i’ve ever seen the Texas Eagle(excluding the engine), the daily long-distance train that pulls through the town i go to college in(Normal, IL, by the Bloomington-Normal stop) is usually only 7 Superliners. i’m lucky that a few rare times, i’ve seen them run the T. Eagle with 8 Superliners, not to mention that seeing a baggage car on this train is an even rarer sight(i see one attached an average of only once or twice a month).

damn, the west coast residents who see the Coast Starlight come through normally are spoiled for seeing trains of that great length daily….(as much as the StarLATE rarely runs on schedule!)
