I would name this fuzzy baby owl Chewbacca, or Chewy for short.

(the lighting is not great as I snuck the camera into his cage and did not want to fry him with a flash)

  1. Holy starwars! They are twins! 😎

  2. Mmm I’d say the cat would agree the owl is "chewie".

  3. nice! The visual search engine feeds the wordplay machine….

  4. Great shot.

A visual search engine is what Flickr needs badly. If they could only clone The Alieness and make her run 24/7…

  5. but i am… unclonable

    Muahahahahahaaaaaa! |-)

Hey, now seriously talking about memory, I really liked what you told to *=F(*), Steve, here.

" * = F ( * ) says: J(*), do you think those Posit Science people could do something for my brain?

jurvetson says: Quite possibly…. but heh, heh, heh…. who knows what side effects a better memory might bring for someone caught in a recursive function call…. I’d think you’d want imperfections to break free from the infinite loop…."

Actually it is not that I like it, but that I find it awfully true, despite I am not a recursive function. Maybe it is similar to what I say: "Awareness is like Entropy: no way back." :-S

  6. Yeah I would think a flash into an owl’s eyes could be harsh.

  7. The funny thing is I don’t do wordplaying in spanish. Probably there’s a positive feeling when the connections arise anew in a foreign language. Like starting over again,uh? A new possibilty to surprise yourself, could that be? I’m sure I don’t think the same way in these two different languages.

  8. Maybe they’re related…. There was a lot of gossip about the "Owl and the Pussycat" sometime back…

  9. The name is perfect.
His feathers look almost like foam. I’d love to have a giant plush version to hug.
