I chased this guy around, testing various camera settings. He would hover nicely for the photoshoot.

I think this one was with fill flash and fixed macro zoom, with both of us in motion.

All insects have four wings, and when they appear to have only two, there are smaller vestigial wings somewhere (marked above). I could not get a view of these when he was at rest because they were tucked under the main wings along the body.

  1. Did you photoshopped the colors here, wow man!

  2. shucks, you know I don’t have Photoshop. =)

The flash did burn out the foreground (being this close), so I lowered the brightness and hit "enhance" on iPhoto.

  3. I know… 😉

I was teasing you… Giving you the chance to say: "NOOO! It is just my NEW CAM and me, dear!" |-)

hey, btw, how is that of having an "enhance" button as that´s all! I want that in my computer, too!

And in my bathroom mirror, why not…

  4. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!!!!!!!
    Awesome picture, but SCARY BUG.

  5. Awsome! What a capture.

  6. wow… that’s a very sharp pic considering the motion! looks like the ois worked? =)

  7. I´d strongly recommend this photo for the JPG mag pool. The theme is: "fabulous". And I think this is pretty fabulous. And also, as the images have to be the "rawest" the better (none or almost no post edition) this could also fit.

Think about it. Maybe you make your way to a successful career as a photographer. (I know how needy of a success in your life -no matter how small- you are, that´s why I am thinking of how can we help you. Don´t lose hope. Somehow you´ll make it! I have faith in you.)
