through the NASA gel
Robotgirl, be sure to save an extra 300 pennies if you can’t supply your own ants:
http://www.antsalive.com — Most of the material is written as though you have a traditional 2-D sand-filled antfarm, but with the NASA agar, you need not feed them, water them, or do much but watch.
Great shot and all, but these ant farms are not recommended for keeping your ants in. They tend to mould and generally only lasts maybe 14 days or so befor the whole colony dies out. If you really wanna keep ants it’s much more worthwhile to do it the proper way with arena and formicary.
If you cant house that, then do the ants a favour and don’t get any. ;X
Well, in that case I guess you should consider yourself lucky. Or you’ve unlocked some super-secret key to keeping ants in these giant food-silos.
Most sites that even sell these states that they don’t recommend them for keeping ants for more than 14 days.
I personally wouldn’t like to live in my food, though. 😉
But as stated befor, great shot. It has a spooky tone to it.
