   That shark is swimming around this tank at the Monterey Aquarium. 🙂

   Hah. When I saw the picture, I first pictured Steve in a shark cage taking this picture. It wouldn’t surprise me.

   This is the only great white that is living in captivity (other attempts failed because they could not get the sharks to eat). Another interesting tidbit: noone has observed a great white shark mating.

   *said in a californian yoga master dreamy accent* as you can see from the brilliant white aura sharks have been so successful on this planet as they are intimately in tune with life on this planet.

   Sad about that being the only one. Really I’m sure they are great pets 😉

   Update: They just released her back into the wild as she was eating too many of the neighbors. She lasted 6 months, the longest ever for a great white shark in captivity. (Nature)
