   then, like rays and dolphins,
   the snow gets all the fun.

   And there is a nuance of the coloring that I should mention. I was experimenting with camera flare effects. The bands of color you see on the trees are actually artifacts of shooting into the sun. It shows up most clearly in the dark areas of the frame.
