   I revisited this page tonight when pondering this 404 error from Skolkovo;

   

   and I am surprised to see 1600 visitors to this page with nary a comment.

   my brain is stubbornly not parsing out what is happening in the most above picture…. what is the going on??

   also, i see cookie crips on the top shelf of the store- that’s awesome!

   Grocery store in Eastern Russia, with scale and abacus at the checkout counter (the lady in red is the resourceful employee who gets it done in a tough economy in transition).

   Maybe that was the detail I should have provided to all the folks who came and left confused in the past…
