    The brownish-orange plastic circuit film in this is better known as "polyimide" or "Kapton" and is used in quite a few things, especially if they need to pack a lot of stuff in a small space (like this camera). You can even get Kapton tape for taping down wires and such.

    Also, the chip in the upper right corner is some sort of custom chip. I’m guessing it contains the auto-exposure or auto-focus guts. The big "M" is short for Matsushita (better known as Panasonic).
