   Is this convergence or what? I just blogged about Pale Male and Lola, the two red tailed hawks whose nest was willfully destroyed in New York, please read it, it is devastating!

   Your photo is super. He is free and probably has a great nest to go home to!

   I agree. You must have had a close flyby from this hawk to get the detail you did. It’s very good. When I’m at my Atlanta office, I see buzzards flying very close to our building (we’re on the top floor of a 17 story building) so they can catch thermals. I will bring my camera next time in hopes to capture a close up when the opportunity arises.

   This is a curious shot. It feels almost like a composite. The deep saturation and crispness of the FG set against the desaturation, depth and truly flat, odd perspective of the BG. The background almost feels like a frame of video. Cool.
