Using the Van der Waals’ Force

  1. That’s a beautiful specimin. We have spotted brown ones around here (in Houston, TX.) Where I lived until about 4 months ago, we had a family of 8 geckos living on our front porch. You could see them through the peephole every night as they came out looking for flying insects to devour. As soon as you open the door, though, they scatter, so alas, I have no photos.

  2. Beautiful specimen of Phelsuma laticauda. Great shot too. Looks like he’s on some sort of Palm? Where did you take this photo?

  3. Oh you got one of those colorful ones on the Kona side. I am on the east side and the gecko’s here are much paler and more subdued spots.

  4. Very nice detail.
Makes me wonder what the three red streaks signal.

  5. Battle markings. Like on the side of war planes.

Here, we see the number of flies nabbed by the pink tongue of death….

  6. I see. And they’re painted personally by the Head Gecko?

  7. Fantastic coloration and markings!

  8. And now we’re using Van der Waals to climb up waaaaalls….

  9. I had a Tokay Gecko as a kid. His name was Guido (The Gecko) and he was the last thing a cricket would ever see once it entered his tank…
