Papua New Guinea: Celebrating independence from Australia and an old tradition of celebrating a successful trading voyage (free of pirates) bringing vegetables back from a distant villiage.
I easily imagine myself living on an island in a time when this kind of scene was regular. Although life was not easy in the past, in some ways it must have been so much calmer and simpler. However, I am not sure I would have wanted to live in Papua New Guinea until recently. A bit too "uncivilized", if you know what I mean.
This is a beautiful scene! The island in the background and the tree branches framing the top makes this photo a wonderful rêverie!
!mimosa, do not know what you mean "primitive"? The alternative life you attest to may destroy the planet Earth as you know. The life depicted in the picture assures longevity of planet Earth…Think big and smart!
