Great photo-within-photo technique. I’m guessing the picture on the wall features either the same cat (albeit younger and less hairy) or a close relative.

I’m going with close relative. The white markings on the nose are different and the photo has more white.

That would fit. Also the framed one seems to be a shorthair and the markings are slightly different.
