At the wonderfully named observatory above San Jose, with Greg Laughlin and the exoplanet hunters… on a quest for alien solar systems. We crawled through the telescope’s optical path.

  5. Always wanted to visit lick.

    Last fall I was down at the VLA and got to crawl around inside one of the big dishes while it was in the maintenance shed – very cool!

    There was a signed pic of jodie foster on the wall in the control room…

  8. Ah, crawling "through the telescope’s optical path"…but did you get to see the stars and all else that this telescope can permit you to see? Was it a fantastic experience? That is what I want to know!
