  1. Steve, have you see them coated with a mix of Silver/Gold by electrolysis? Not only beautiful, but also bright. If you have access to an electrospray, try it! It may give better results 😀

  2. In my planet leaves look exactly like that… I guess the radiactive components of the soil makes the sap glow that way…

  3. that is the best photo I’ve seen all week.

  4. INCREDIBLE!!!!!!! The detail is amazing.

  5. Excellent, where’s the puzzle party now!?

  6. Thanks y’all !!

BenODen: the party is resting for a few days as I am heading out on another trip tomorrow.

You can see the archive of puzzles here.

And, hey, these puzzles can be recycled….. The answers are buried in the comments, so just ignore them, and post a new comment with a new guess.

  7. True, Maybe I will try recycling! And I didn’t mean that it had to be you making the puzzle! Just saw the big break and wondered if there were a puzzler group that had attracted more attention or something! FlickrCaching is cool though.

  8. what exactly is "semiconductor etch"? what did it do to those leaves?

  9. It’s a specialty acid bath, tuned for particular materials. I mention it in the 2nd comment on an earlier photo, my personal favorite of the series.

  10. leaves are for girls 🙂
