The most popular phone at our conference was the Motorola V3 Razr.

Made of various metal alloys, it seems like a fine fashion accessory to the Powerbook…. Thinner than my pinkie when folded, it weighs under 100 grams. The backlit alloy buttons depress slightly for a pretty good ergonomic experience.

They were all purchased in China. The U.S. launch was delayed behind China as Motorola was inking a carrier deal. (For the U.S., Cingular got a 3-month exclusive, but they demand a 2 year minimum contract).

  1. Despite my cellphonbia… when something is an aesthetic piece of art, amazingly useful -as it seems for the lcd display- AND discreet… dear, it´s completely praiseworthy. |-)

    Great stuff, indeed!

    edit: Btw, V3 model… Weird! 3 cylinders in V can´t be very fast…

  5. i had a razr v3 and physically they are soooo nice, but then the software on the phone is a nightmare to use compared to nokia… the v3 is actually really easy to firmware update, but even after putting the latest software on it it still wasn’t as fun as nokia, and then when i was travelling it kept crashing grr so i got annoyed and stopped using it.

  6. these phones are the most popular phones ever
THEY ARE SO COOL! i wish i had one

  7. I like this phone after using my friend’s to text my parents, but I wouldn’t use it because it seems a bit big for my small hands (which make alot of problems). =( Still a great phone though.
