This one looks like the alien ships from The War of the Worlds.

It even has some of the red, green and black color scheme. It was just a laser pointer into the camera.

This tends to produce alien artifacts. |-)

    Thanks! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Stop it! You’re gonna put that camera’s eye out! ;-}

    This really is a great abstract! I like the fingerprint-like pattern on all the little ships. Caught The War of the Worlds connection right away, mostly due to the color. Really cool.

  3. Very cool indeed!!! Love the colors, and the idea of a "happy invasion". heh.

    Hope it’s not a problem ๐Ÿ™‚

  9. no problem at all. I find it plenty surreal that all of these colors and artifacts can come from one little red laser…

  10. Hey there Jurvetson… Some interesting stuff you have here. It’s funny because I was thinking about something along these lines after seeing the Garry Fabian Miller exhibition at the V&A in London. He worked in a darkroom shining lights through filters and paper cutouts to create patterns on photographic paper. What you’ve done is the digital equivalent of that I guess.

  11. A wonderful effect, I like the one with the evil smile! ๐Ÿ™‚

  13. great colorful composition!

  14. With a strong enough laser held steady this can be very bad for the cameras CCD!
