Does anyone remember that episode of Lost in Space where the people were running around inside a big computer? I can’t remember if the people had shrunk or the computer had grown, but it was slowly going back to normal and they had to squeeze their way out…

Never trust a computer you can’t walk through.

  3. dude! you are a TRON in the Maze-a-Tron intellivision game I used to play!!!

"In the computer fantasy world of TRON, the power-hungry Master Control Program (the MCP) seeks to control the human race. You are Flynn, the daring, young programmer, transported into the heart of the computer, to find and disable the MCP." (From the game´s Instruction page).

    What a great remembrance!!!

  4. cool. it’s a meme! Anthropomorphizing the black box du jour….

Was the old TV program, Lost In Space, syndicated internationally?

  5. As far as I see now, googling it, seems that it has been syndicated. Even it was broadcasted in my country as "Perdidos en el espacio", (and we had the visit of Robbie in 1959!!).

But I am surprised that I can´t recall anything about it…

  6. Aaaaa, Tron! I think I wasn’t even conceived when the movie was made…I think.

  7. I love the vault effect–Crays always have been beautifully designed. I’d really give something to see this in natural light, or better yet lit from behind you with a blue light. Great photos, especially given the conditions. Thank you for taking us there.

  8. It was a second season episode of Lost In Space entitled "Trip Through The Robot".

Will Robinson and Dr. Smith somehow had to return The Robot to his normal size to save him. Major West and Professor Robinson went in to find them and got out OK. Will and Smith almost didn’t make it out!

    Danger, Danger!!!

  9. Lost in Space was my absolute fave as a child. I don’t remember much from 40+ years ago (or even last week).

  10. Hi, I’m an admin for a group called Robots, Automatons, Mainframes and the Silicon Revolution, and we’d love to have this added to the group!
