Earlier that day, Bush signed what he called the “Healthy Forests Bill”, which authorizes commercial logging of the national forests.

It looks like they got started on the front lawn of the White House that very afternoon. =)

I got through with a loud Santa tie on… so no, there were no sartorial checks. As for security, the metal detectors were not as sensitive as those in the airport. They let me keep my gadgets (camera and RIM). I did not see a sign “do not walk on grass” but then a colleague pointed out the snipers on the roof, and said that the message was implied.

One response to “The White House”

  1. Love the tie!! I understand about the lack of wedgie giving, but it would have been fun! Bunny ears would have been great though.

Those snipers are spooky. I have seen them. VERY spooky!

There is something very wrong with a "Healthy Forests Bill" that authorizes commercial logging of our National Forrests. I think Teddy must be turning in his grave!
