    Ivonne, many androgenous representations of God in what in the last few centuries is known as Hinduism. Yin and yang in one, i.e. we all have "male" and "female" of varying proportions in us 🙂

    Van, the video is the same, but your link is way better. Thanks for posting it. It explains the whole thing in English. I received mine on an email from an uruguayian friend, so he explained in spanish (and was even hard for me to understand him!) 😉

    Maybe i’m wrong, but i recognize Ganesha’s head, Shiva’s head, Hanuman’s head and Visnu’s head. I think the statue is meant to represent the whole Hindu pantheon

    This idol in Singapore is a representation of Vishnu, the Supreme God in the Vaishnavite tradition of Hinduism.
    He is the Lord Almighty, the Supreme Controller, the Protector of all that’s good and righteous in the Universe. Vishnu is the all-pervading Essence of all beings, Master of the past, present and future, Creator and Destroyer of all existences, who supports, sustains and governs the Universe and originates and develops all elements within.
